The fears about California’s “jungle primary” were overblown.

All that handwringing among Democrats that two Republican gubernatorial candidates might advance to the general election have been for naught. So far, the primary results are looking entirely unremarkable: With about 60% of the expected ballots counted, one Democrat and one Republican appear to be heading to the November runoff.
